electrical               break-out box 

This device attaches between electrical components with pigtails to test individual circuits without disrupting assembly functionality.  This was specifically built for brake control units but can be adapted for use with HVAC systems, pneumatic controllers, sensors, etc.  

Individual circuits can be broken to test the consequence.  Bypass procedures are then developed to reduce down time.
